WHY SHOULD I TAKE VITAMINS?

With so many companies as well as heath professionals constantly telling us that we should be taking vitamins, it can be confusing as to why when supposedly our food contains everything we need.

The first thing is that it is true that our food contains vitamins that help to keep us healthy, however, not everyone eats the right sorts of food, or enough food to allow our bodies to have enough of each individual vitamin. Your body requires all sorts of vitamins, they keep your teeth strong, give you energy, clot your blood and in general keep you strong and fit.

Not many people actually manage to fit in their f a day of fruit and veg – if this is the case with you then you should take vitamins so that your body has all the nutrients that it needs. By supplementing your diet with vitamins you will ensure that you keep strong and are less prone to illness. Vitamins are vitally important for those people that have low immune systems and a large amount of people tend to take extra vitamins in winter in order to combat the cold weather and prevent them from getting colds.

There are many types of vitamins, but if you are not sure which are best for you ask any chemist or simply take a multi vitamin – which contains everything that your body could possibly need.
